What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“He really cares for his patients and takes the time to actually listen to them. I never thought I could have somewhat of a life back but he gave that to me! I'm only 39 and have triplets and it's been hard with the heart attacks and aneurysms! He truly is an amazing doctor and his staff is so nice! Dr Jacob Sakiey thank you for giving me some of my life back!”

“Blue Ridge Pain Management Associates has failed to provide an acceptable standard of care to my father, a workers' compensation patient, due to the actions of his treating physician, Dr. Baylor. My father has a severe occupational back injury and is currently in constant pain with radicular symptoms that limit standing to less than five minutes. Despite progression of symptoms, care provided has been inadequate. The practice demonstrates significant access and responsiveness deficiencies. Telephone calls routinely require three or more days for response, and patients are unable to speak directly with clinical staff. These delays impede timely clinical decision-making for a patient with escalating pain. Dr. Baylor conducts brief visits, typically under 10 minutes, without meaningful history-taking or physical examination. He does not palpate, assess range of motion, or otherwise evaluate the patient. Despite explicit patient request, Dr. Baylor declined to order updated X-rays in the presence of worsening symptoms, limiting appropriate clinical assessment. On Tuesday, December 16, Dr. Baylor ordered a spinal injection and scheduled the procedure for Friday, December 19. Upon arrival, the patient was denied treatment because he had not discontinued a contraindicated medication for the required five-day period. There were insufficient days between the office visit and the procedure to meet this requirement. This outcome reflects a direct failure of Dr. Baylor's clinical responsibility, including medication review, patient instruction, and procedural eligibility verification. This was not an administrative error. The failure resulted in avoidable pain, unnecessary travel, and physical strain for a functionally limited patient. Dr. Baylor's repeated lack of examination, refusal to obtain appropriate imaging upon request, and failure to manage basic procedural requirements fall below acceptable standards of pain management care. Patients with serious injuries, particularly workers' compensation cases, should exercise caution when seeking treatment at this practice.”

“Meagan Coffey is a very caring and passionate doctor she listened to everything that I had to say and addressed my issues. She also helped me figure out why the pharmacy and marion can't get my prescriptions filled. Walgreens said that the doctor wouldn't call them. But I have proof that the doctor called him everybody in that office told me about the pharmacy and the pharmacy was having issues.I guess on their phone. They said nothing to do with my doctor she said that it would be in there ahead of time, and I know that they send it in three months at a time, so therefore, it's already there. So my issue was definitely with the pharmacy, but as far as taking care of her patients, she addressed my issues. And was my appointment was on time. Thank you for taking such good care of me when I come in. I really appreciate it..”

“My wife is the patient. Previously she has seen only a PA or Nurse Practitioner and has been quite happy with their service. This time, the appointment was to see the physician in order to evaluate for a possible procedure. The doctor was in and out within 5 minutes. He did not seem.to be interested in.answering any questions. He handed my wife a couple of brochures about the nerve stimulator equipment and procedure. They could have mailed those and saved us a 3+ hour round trip. We were not the only ones treated this way. He went to the next patient , we proceeded to check out and before we could even.finush the checkout process he was leaving the next patient...arguing with her about physical therapy. Not at all a pleasant or worthwhile visit. Definitely did not feel that my wife was a valued patient. UPDATE : Saw a different doctor who was the total opposite of the first one. Dr. Dragovich was the ultimate professional. He really seemed to care about my wife's condition and her pain control. He never seemed rushed and he spent as much time as necessary to answer all questions. We have seen him twice since, once for a procedure and for the followup and have nothing but the highest opinion of him.”
