Patient Testimonials
“My husband has a chronic pain patient with Duke Pain Center for 15 years. He received the most unempathetic care I have witnessed by a nurse practitioner today. Her name is Joshi Susmitha. She does not belong in the care of patients seeking care for this speciality because she lacks the understanding and compassion to do her job professionally. I question her choice of practice along with questioning her ethics to hold a license. I will be submitting a complaint to Duke Hospital system and the North Carolina Board of Nursing”

“I should've read reviews before going to this clinic. Dr Peter Yi did not address my pain needs at my visit and won't take the time to respond to my messages- he instead responded to my wound care Dr who informed me Dr Yi wanted me to make an appointment!! His nursing staff is rude, is bothered when you call. There are so many other pain clinics/Drs nearby. I am switching and if you want to be treated by a Dr and staff that actually cares about you and your needs, I recommend you go elsewhere as well.”

“Had a steroid injection on 10 February Been an excruciating pain since and they won't see me same day and they don't really give a damn they keep sending me to my primary care or the emergency room. This place sucks and so does the staff hate to even go back in March Duke emergency room is not any better.”
— Monica Thompson
“Specifically for the Biofeedback Clinic. I like the provider and the experience during our appointments. I am almost never able to get in touch with/have my calls returned by the front desk, however. Coupled with how busy they are, and that the appointments often cannot be made or rescheduled on MyChart, I have lost steam in wanting to make or attend appointments because I have essentially no assistance from the staff.”
