Patient Testimonials

The pain management nurse for Dr Chuck is absolutely horrible. Rude, condescending with no empathy. She should be moved to doesn't require patient contact. As far as the clinic itself is concerned, front office staff are great. However, there are issues getting my mother's MRI approved by her insurance because the office didn't provide enough information for the insurance company to understand the necessity or importance of said MRI. I've heard people say Mercy is not the appropriate name as there is no mercy shown. I don't agree completely with that but I will say, that I agree at least 75% with that statement which is so sad as the that was NOT Sister Catherine McAuley's vision. I believe she'd be ashamed today.

I don't like to leave negative reviews for anyone, but I feel like this needs to be brought to someone's attention. I went in yesterday to have a nerve block put in my back. The nurse came out to get me and took me to my room as I entered my room she asked me, what my pain level was as of that moment and I said not bad right now. And the other nurse named Shell walked into the ro and said so you're not in pain today and I said not as much as usual but I am before I could finish my sentence. She responded if you're not in pain why are you here because this isn't gonna work.. (I understand her concern) And before I could explain that I was not experiencing as much pain as I normally do because I had not worked or done anything strenuous. She said we have a high patient volume and if you don't need to see us then why are you here. I work in customer service daily, but I have worked in healthcare in the past she has a horrible bedside manner and and an absolute horrible demeanor. The look on her face was a total disgust. I wasn't there because I wanted to be. I was there because I needed to be. My pain management doctor from Rolla scheduled me in Springfield because I could get in so much sooner. I almost left and yes, I was probably was a little irritable from not feeling good for the past eight months, but that was totally uncalled for. The rest of the staff was fantastic. They were great, but maybe she needs to find a new profession. Definitely did not come off as a caring, nurturing, consoling nurse that she should be.. we all get stressed and I understand that. There's no need for you to talk to somebody like they are under educated or not on the same level. Wasn't I was not there asking or seeking pain medication never once have I even asked for that. I sensed that the nurse that brought me back could tell that I was totally disgusted with Shell. I wish I would've gotten her name because she was amazing. Maybe she just needs some pointers on patient care.

I don't like doing negative reviews. This is not about individual people. Individually, everyone is great. But when my doctor and my PA don't seem to be able to agree on my care, do multiple procedures without any marked success, and then say "we can refer you to an outside clinic". YOU ALL ARE THE OUTSIDE CLINIC! I'm a disabled veteran. I CHOSE you all over the VA because I trust you more than the VA. I may have been wrong about that. I've always believed the private sector could do a better job than the government, but Mercy makes the government look efficient and competent by comparison. Absolutely disgusted with the way Mercy operates these days.

Dr. Broadnex is inconsiderate and the rudest doctor I've ever met! I seen Dr. Everson for many years and he was GREAT! He left and that is how Dr. Broadnex came into my life. He refused to give me an mri so my mercy doctor did. When I took results to pain clinic I was told s ince I don't like his care I need to go else where. There is no other place that cares thou . Now scared to come back. Refuse to see last Dr
