“The staff / care team here is all great! I'm subtracting 1 star because I have some constructive criticism around the logistics of appointments. Firstly, there's a reliance on snail mail as opposed to digital options. The bones of a patient portal exist at time of writing, but it's not very sophisticated. Billing, for example, seems to be completed on paper regardless of preference. My second criticism is regarding the surgical center component of Michigan Pain. [Michigan Pain Specialists & MP Surgical Center seem to be sister centers(?) ... or else, I'm not sure exactly how they relate to one another]. The center provides some routine, recurring procedures that you may expect to receive once every few months. When scheduling, however, they cannot provide you with an appointment time until the day prior to your appointment day. You can request to note a preference for morning vs. afternoon, but I've only had about 33% success with that. The system really isn't sustainable when trying to receive continued care and hold a job; I can't block off entire weekdays every other month. I hope that these elements get sorted out, because MPS does provide great services.”
